4th. edition of the Durango International Film Festival, 4FICDU

Movies return to theaters. In Durango the screens are prepared to offer the best stories. Welcome to the fourth edition of the Durango International Film Festival, the 4FICDU.

 

The 4FICDU will be executed in person from June 22 to 26, 2021, after seeking to suspend last year due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Your selection will feature international and national productions such as:

 

Tomatoes listen Wagner (2019, Greece - Dir. Mariano Economou)
Death will come and he will have your eyes (2019, Chile, Argentina, Germany - Dir. José Luis Torres Leiva)
A Hidden Life (2019, United States, Germany - Dir. Terrence Malick)
 

The festival will have recognitions for trajectories to directors and actors of Mexican cinema, red carpet, visits to the film sets of Durango and workshops on various topics.

 

It will have the presence of various institutions of the national cinematography. Among the actors participating in the 4FICDU are Luz María Jerez and Nora Velázquez.

 

The 70th anniversary of the Mexican nationality of Luis Buñuel will be celebrated and for which the tape Buñuel in the labyrinth of the turtles will be exhibited (2019, Dir. Salvador Simó, José María Fernández De Vega). In addition to the documentary Un Buñuel Mexicano (1997, Dir. Emilio Maillé), an event that the director will attend the festival.

 

The FICDU will recognize Alfonso Rosas Priego and Sylvia Pasquel, for their trajectory in Mexican cinematography. Both will be awarded the 'White Feather' trophy, the highest award from the FICDU.
